Denver’s 16th Street Mall is a bustling place filled with music, art, recreation, shopping, lots of good food, and lots of people! After a recent meeting, it seemed like a good opportunity to just wander and take in the sights, sounds and smells that make up the scene.
Originally a busy retail street in the downtown business district, 16th Street was converted into a walking mall in 1982. A combination of historic buildings, like the Daniels and Fisher Tower (built in 1910) and modern skyscrapers, the 16th Street Mall has a wide variety of architecture and experiences.

Street performers are a prevalent part of the mall, with lots of musical acts the day these photos were taken. From rock bands to bluegrass, there was music for every taste.
