It doesn’t happen often, but every now and then an unexpected couple of hours of free time pops up. As someone who always has a camera nearby, it doesn’t take long to come up with ways to fill the time. It’s a beautiful sunny afternoon in Southern California, so what comes to mind? Palm trees and a pier!
Beverly Hills seems like a good place to start.
With several palm-lined streets, it’s simply a matter of deciding on which one! We settled on Beverly Drive between Sunset Blvd. and Santa Monica Blvd.
It’s a weekday, so why not head to the beach? A visit to the Santa Monica Pier with dramatic views and the rides at Pacific Park is always camera-worthy!
The pier is regarded as the western end of the famous cross-country Route 66.
Sunset over the Pacific. No need to say more!
